City of Marion Releases March Stories

(Marion, IN) March 2nd, 2023 – The Grant County Area Homeschool co-op group learned the various workings of city government while having a little fun last week at City Hall and Ballard Field.
Marion Mayor Jess Alumbaugh officially proclaimed February 23rd, 2023, “Grant County Area Homeschool Day,” to honor its students and teachers.
City officials and department heads enjoyed explaining their various roles while getting to know the group. Leaders said they were asked very intelligent questions, and they entertained several creative ideas from students and parents.
Mayor Alumbaugh reflected, "It was a pleasure meeting the homeschool students. They asked great questions and were genuinely interested in how local government operates."
