Number of Entrepreneurs Over 50 is Growing

Are you considering starting a business but don’t know where to begin? Over half of America’s small business owners are over age 50. Yet many would-be encore entrepreneurs (28%) don’t know where to start.

Discover your inner entrepreneur and the initial steps needed to launch a business through a series of interactive workshops facilitated by Purdue Extension Educators.

The workshops, geared for the 50+ age group, explore entrepreneurial thinking and application:

  1. Introduction to Entrepreneurship
  1. What is Entrepreneurial Thinking and Acting?
  1. Decoding Your Entrepreneurial History
  1. Anatomy of an Idea
  1. Building Your Brain Trust
  1. Branding that Brings Results
  1. Finance: Common Sense and Cents
  1. Entrepreneurship is a Verb, not a Business Plan – Just Start!
In addition to the workshops, you will be connected to coaching from the Small Business Development Center after completion if you choose to move forward with your business idea.

The Workshops are held on Zoom from 4-5 pm EST on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in February: 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29.  Register by January 30, 2024, at  https://cvent.me/3wba1l

The cost of the workshop series is $99 and is payable when you register.

Contact Kristi Whitacre at kwhitacr@purdue.edu or 812-462-3371 if you have questions about the workshops. We hope to see you there!
