Pur­pose

The City of Mar­i­on invites eli­gi­ble recov­ery hous­ing providers to sub­mit Requests for Fund­ing (RFF) to strength­en recov­ery hous­ing serv­ing Mar­i­on and Grant Coun­ty res­i­dents impact­ed by opi­oid and oth­er sub­stance use dis­or­ders. Fund­ing will sup­port recov­ery res­i­dences in achiev­ing and main­tain­ing com­pli­ance with Indi­ana HB 1296, improv­ing res­i­dent safe­ty and qual­i­ty, pre­serv­ing exist­ing recov­ery hous­ing capac­i­ty, and expand­ing access to eth­i­cal, recov­ery-ori­ent­ed housing.

Pro­gram Objectives

• Increase access to safe, com­pli­ant recov­ery housing.
• Pre­serve exist­ing recov­ery res­i­dence bed capacity.
• Improve res­i­dent safe­ty and oper­a­tional quality.
• Reduce bar­ri­ers to Indi­ana HB 1296 compliance.
• Reduce over­dose risk, relapse, home­less­ness, and jus­tice-sys­tem involvement.

Eli­gi­ble Applicants

Appli­cants must:
• Be an exist­ing recov­ery res­i­dence serv­ing Mar­i­on or Grant County.
• Be a non­prof­it, faith-based, or com­mu­ni­ty-based orga­ni­za­tion oper­at­ing recov­ery housing.
• Be cur­rent­ly cer­ti­fied by, or active­ly pur­su­ing cer­ti­fi­ca­tion through, the Nation­al Alliance for Recov­ery Res­i­dences (or oth­er applic­a­ble Indi­ana-rec­og­nized cer­ti­fi­ca­tion process).
• Oper­ate legal­ly with­in Indiana.

• Total Avail­able: $150,000
• Max­i­mum Request: $25,000
• The City reserves the right to par­tial­ly fund requests, make mul­ti­ple awards, nego­ti­ate bud­gets, or decline any proposal.

Award Expec­ta­tions

Fund­ed orga­ni­za­tions must:
• Use funds only for approved purposes.
• Main­tain insur­ance and legal compliance.
• Par­tic­i­pate in required reporting.
• Demon­strate progress toward compliance.
• Report out­comes includ­ing beds pre­served, res­i­dents served, occu­pan­cy, refer­rals, hous­ing sta­bil­i­ty, treat­ment engage­ment, employ­ment out­comes, over­dose pre­ven­tion out­comes, and com­pli­ance progress.
