About Us

United Way of Grant County has been serving Grant County since 1956 (building on a local history of community giving that goes back to 1929), bringing people and organizations together to improve lives and strengthen our community. We focus on the building blocks of a good life: healthy community, youth opportunity, financial security, and community resiliency.

Through strategic funding, collaboration, and direct program support, United Way works with local nonprofit partners addressing our community’s most pressing needs. These include early childhood literacy, access to mental and physical health services, food security, senior support, workforce readiness, and crisis assistance for families facing hardship.

United Way Grant County also serves as the coordinator for several community-wide initiatives, including Grant County Reads! and the Grant County Imagination Library, which provides free books to children from birth to age five, and collaborative efforts that address literacy, early learning, and basic needs across the county.

We believe lasting change happens when individuals, businesses, and organizations work together around shared goals. By aligning resources and focusing on long-term solutions, United Way Grant County helps ensure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive.
