Permit Compliance Officer, Building Dept.
The City of Marion Building Department is seeking an energetic, self-starting individual for a Permit Compliance Officer. This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $45,177.34. Applications/Resumes will be accepted through Friday, June 4th, 2026.
Job responsibilities: Administers the City Building Ordinance and performs all functions specified by state statute to be performed by the local building commissioner.
Qualifications: Completion of secondary education or equivalent; must possess valid driver’s license; five (5) years experience in a building trade or trades, or employment as Assistant Building Inspector with three (3) years under direct supervision or a qualified Building Inspector.
