CSA's Civic Theatre Holds Auditions for summer musical production of Fiddler on the Roof

(png)

Marion, IN-The Community School of the Arts is excited to announce auditions for the upcoming CSA Civic Theatre production of Fiddler On The Roof on May 27th and 28th from 6-9pm.  This is a family show and we highly encourage family units to come and make theatre together this summer!

The award-winning tale of Tevye the Dairyman and his family’s struggles in a changing Russia is a true musical theatre tradition. Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a color l and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

You will only need to attend one night of auditions. Auditioners will be taken in the order in which they arrive, and will be able to leave after the conclusion of their audition. Come prepared to sing a one-minute cut of a song of your choosing, preferably from Fiddler on the Roof, and to read one of the prepared sides. The sides do not need to be memorized.
