I&M Offers Free Online Sessions to Help Customers Understand Their Bills
FORT WAYNE, IN, March 04, 2026 – Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is hosting four “Understanding Your Bill” virtual learning sessions. The events, which will be held for I&M residential customers in both states, are designed to help customers gain a clearer understanding of how their monthly bill is calculated. I&M leadership and members of the customer service and regulatory teams will lead online sessions to walk customers through various components of their bill and explain common charges; help customers troubleshoot high bills; and highlight programs that can help households manage their energy costs.
“We understand that customers have questions about their bills and why certain line items are included,” said Katie Runkle, I&M’s vice president of External Affairs and Customer Experience. “Our goals for these virtual sessions are that they help our customers understand what they’re being charged for and why; how our customer service team can help figure out why their bill might be higher than expected; and how to access different programs we offer to help them save money and energy.”
Because rates and bills vary between Indiana and Michigan due to differences in state requirements, customers are encouraged to register for a session specific to their location.
