Carey Services Participates in Nationally Recognized Staff Celebration

Marion, IN – Carey Services has announced its participation in National Direct Support Professional Recognition Week. The week of September 13, 2026 through September 19, 2026 has been designated as National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week for 2026, and Carey Services Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff and all staff at Carey Services will be recognized in different and meaningful ways throughout the week. Governor Braun has even issued a Proclamation making that week “Direct Support Professionals Week” in the State of Indiana.
Carey Services employs more than 220 employees, with more than half of those employees being DSPs who provide quality daily support services for individuals and their families in Grant, Blackford, Wabash, Madison, and other counties in Indiana.
DSPs are the passionate people at Carey Services who provide extraordinary care around the clock, 24/7/365 as direct care workers, healthcare workers, in-home support workers, personal assistants, attendants, and community connectors to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are able to have opportunities to live and work independently in communities of their choosing.
“The Carey Services direct support professionals are some of the hardest workers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They help individuals and families to turn abilities into opportunities every day in several Indiana counties,” said Jim Allbaugh, Carey Services’ president/chief executive officer. “We have an awesome team at Carey Services, and every one of our employees work tirelessly for those we serve. Our employees deserve this celebration and the community’s recognition and appreciation.”
“Direct Support Professional” is a national career title and is a great career opportunity for those interested in serving people in Grant and surrounding counties. Carey Services is looking for hardworking individuals who have a passion for caring for people in the community.
